How Fat Dissolving Works
Fat dissolving injections use a compound called deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down and absorb fat. When injected into targeted areas, it disrupts fat cell membranes causing them to break down and be naturally flushed out by your lymphatic system over the following couple of weeks.
Most clients need only a series of sessions for high-end, permanent results. And once those fat cells are gone, they don’t come back.

What to Expect
Before your appointment:
- Avoid alcohol, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning supplements for 48 hours to minimize bruising
- Let us know about any recent cosmetic treatments or health changes
- Come hydrated and with clean skin – no lotions or oils on the area
During your appointment:
- Your injector will assess your target area and create a customized plan
- A series of small injections will be made directly into the fat layer using a very fine needle
- Most clients feel a warm sensation or mild sting

After your appointment:

What to Know About Fat Dissolving
